Cristo e Risorto! Veramente e Risorto!

CHRIST IS RISEN! INDEED HE IS RISEN!
Check out my Easter basket! Most of the stuff inside is from Oma, Papa and Auntie Tini. The Easter Bunny brought me candy. Doesn't he know I can't eat that stuff yet?
After I played with my new stuff, we went to a friend's house for a Pascha celebration.

My first Easter!

Il Mare

We went on a day-trip to the town of Patti, and I saw the sea for the first time! We went with our friends, the Tatros, and shopped at the Caleca factory for hand-painted ceramics before having lunch at a restaurant on the water. Mommy and Daddy took me onto the small beach.
I put my little feet in the Mediterranean Sea! I cried a bit when the frigid water rolled over my feet, but I really loved looking at all the new things around me and listening to the small waves break on the shore. Oklahoma has no beaches, so I had better enjoy this while I can!

Five Months Old

I'm another month older! I've changed a lot since I was 4 months old. I love grabbing my feet while I'm on my back, and sometimes I can get my toes into my mouth. I'm getting faster at grabbing things, and I want anything I can get my hands on! I love to talk, especially early in the morning. I watch very closely as Mommy and Daddy eat and drink. That's a sign I'm ready to try food! I grow and change so much each day... stay tuned to see what I do next!

Where's My Paycheck?

Mommy seems to think I'm a model, but I haven't seen a dime for all my time spent doing these photo shoots! It's so hard being handsome!

Sagra del Carciofo

Daddy, Mommy, Auntie Bekah and I went to the Artichoke Festival in Ramacca, Sicily. Artichokes can be yummy in lots of different ways, as we found out...

A Sicilian couple roasts their artichokes outside.

There were so many things to see! I looked around from the comfort of my stroller.

You could buy food made with artichokes and other Italian goodies. We tried artichoke cannoli, artichoke pasta and grilled artichokes. The people in Ramacca were also selling olives, cheeses, meats and trinkets.

Kansas is #1

Since the University of Kansas Jayhawks are the NCAA Basketball National Champions, I thought I'd show off my t-shirt from Uncle Sean & Uncle Pablo!

Baby Theo

I have a new friend! Theodore Robert Tatro was born yesterday, April 4, 2008. He's very cute and tiny. Holding him made Mommy and Daddy realize how much I've grown in less than five months. I can't wait for Theo to come home from the hospital so we can play and chat about who's going to be the next singer kicked off American Idol! Congratulations to Uncle Chris, Auntie Gayle and Vince. Theo is perfect!

I'm Not Being Rude

I just love sticking my tongue out!

Your secret ingredient...
APPLES!!!
Live from Marinai Kitchen Stadium! It was a "Big Apple - Winter Wonderland" goodbye party for our friends Jon, Julie and Cayla! They're moving to Syracuse, New York, so for a Big Apple party, the Iron Chefs made all the food with apples! We had Butternut Squash, Leek and Apple Soup, Chutney Salad, Chicken Curry, Lentil Curry, Grilled Turkey and Apple Panini, Baked Apples, Apple & Cheese Fondue, Caramel Apple Cheesecake and Apple Pie! Delicious!

Aunt Bekah surprised Jon & Julie with Statue of Liberty costumes! I wore my snowman bib, and everyone else went with the Winter Wonderland theme, too. That's because it's snowy in Syracuse for most of the year!
Good luck to our friends! We're really going to miss the Groveman family, but we know we'll see them someday soon! :-)
