Nine Months Old

3/4 of a year! It's hard to believe my infancy has gone by so fast. Before you know it, I'll be off to college. I'm doing lots of new things now that I'm a 9-month-old. I wave bye-bye, I clap, I dance (I especially like my daddy's cell phone ringer), I say "uh-oh" when I drop my toys.... the list goes on! I'm still on my belly when I crawl, but I get on my feet a lot. I'm working on pulling up, but I don't quite get it yet. I'm getting my 2 top teeth. They are barely under my gums, so they'll be popping through at any moment. Mommy & Daddy are hoping my sleep habits will improve when my teeth come in. I hope they're not counting on it!

Weight: 19 lbs 6 oz (25th - 50th percentile)

Height: 27 1/2 inches (25th percentile)

Head Circumference: 18 inches (75th percentile)

I'm Mobile!

It may be an Army-crawl, but I'm fast and can go anywhere I'd like! Well, not really. Mommy and Daddy like to restrict my access to all the shiny and interesting things I might get my hands on. One day, Mommy was telling a friend how I wasn't trying to crawl, so when I woke up from my nap, I shocked her by slithering my way across the room to grab something (which she took away, of course). Sometimes I get up on my hands and knees, or even my hands and feet, but when it's time to roll, I plop down onto my belly and off I go!

My New Crib

I've got a new crib... and a new bed, too! It has been a slow process, but we are finally living in our new home. I have my own room and a real crib to sleep in! We've gotten rid of all the boxes, but it's still a mess. I'm not helping much with that. I scoot around a lot, so I get into trouble if someone isn't watching. Most of the day, Mommy is chasing me unless she confines me to my walker so she can actually get some stuff put away. Soon enough we'll be ready for visitors, so be sure to make your reservation soon!
